We've been on a real Róisín Murphy high this week - with her Simulation video and all! The yearning for a new album is becoming almost unbearable, haha. Thankfully we have remixes to soothe the pain - and this house take from London DJ Kris Di Angelis does the trick! Love the awesome deep groove and guitar plus how Róisín's voice really gets to soar above it in all its glory. Sweet! Can we pretty plz have a new album in 2014?

Róisín Murphy - Simulation - Video Premiere

Róisín Murphy's hypnotic and pulsating lounge track Simulation got a video today! First appearing online 14 months ago it's awesome to see this track getting a wider release. The visuals so suits the vibe the audio creates as it's filled with everyday and not so everyday situations that sucks you in and does not let go. We're approaching six years without a full RóMu album so let's hope Munich based label Permanent Vacation that this one is released through is her new label permanently, haha. Kinda dying over here for a new album fix from her! Enjoy belooow!

Róisín Murphy - Simulation (Mano Le Tough Remix)

Come October it's been 5 years since Róisín Murphy's latest studio album, the magnificent Overpowered. If it wasn't for her odd singles and DJ collaborations we'd be crying every day, haha. August 17th sees Simulation released on German dance label Permanent Vacation. We first wrote about it LAST YEAR so great to see it's finally found a home! It's a collab with duo Richard Barratt and Richard H. Kirk a.k.a Sweet Exorcist. The original mix is a sultry retro tinged one filled with some heavenly Ro vocals. The Mano Le Tough remix is hypnotizingly sparse and gorgeous. Enjoy both below!

Róisín Murphy - Simulation - New Track!

Oh gawd, can it be true? A brand new Róisín Murphy track? Believe it! Simulation appeared pretty much out of nowhere and is a low key, lounge feeling kinda track. From the info we've seen Ro included this in a DJ set 2 weeks ago and made this with "a very well respected producer from northern england who had big club hits as well as chart hits, [although he's been] out of the circle for a while". It's been 4 years since we last had a Róisín Murphy albumn, and apart from the odd single and collaboration it's been too quiet for our liking. This is definitely a step in the right direction.
