Premiere: Róisín Murphy - Ancora Tu (Baldelli Remix)

Róisín Murphy's amazing cover of Lucio Battisti's 1976 Italo hit Ancora Tu has been on repeat here since spring. As of today all the remixes from her Mi Senti EP is officially out on vinyl. Cool! Fresh to the bunch is this one by absolute Italo disco pioneer Daniele Baldelli. He's considered a a key innovator in the genre with his 'cosmic disco' style filled with hypnotic slowed down beats. This remix has moments of cosmic psychedelia for sure, especially vocally, but that electric guitar kicks some major ass and the bassline never veers off its glowing course. Nice! Enjooooy! Róisín Murphy's Italian EP Mi Senti is a perfect listen, we love it for its magical covers of Italian classics, wonderful arrangements and the one brand new song that fits like a glove - In Sintesi. Naturally we love Ró's more than flawless vocals and how immersed she sounds on each song. UK duo Psychemagik have created a magical forest of sounds on their remix. A 7:28 minute trip that takes you from ground level, up into the tree branches, then hoovering over with finally catapulting you into the night sky. It shimmers, bleeps and pulsates much like an entity full of dark secrets and you can't help to look right down inside to find out what's hidden at the bottom. Róisín Murphy drops her Italian EP Mi Senti on May 28th and it's gonna be so awesome! Among the 4 covers of classic Italian pop songs comes a brand new song - In Sintesi. The groove is so addictive and instant - it holds its own for sure among the classics. Well no wonder really since it's Ró we're talking about! The vocals are perfect, bassline rumbling away and the atmosphere mysterious. È Perfetto! Created after she asked the team what in synthesis is called in Italian it's making us wanna take language classes stat! This project is a release via The Vinyl Factory and limited to one thousand physical.
