Fever Ray - Mercy Street - Free Download

Karin Dreijer-Anderssion's Fever Ray project comes out of hibernation and gives us this glistening cover of Peter Gabriels classic. The F.R version can be downloaded as an .mp3 here and the limited edition vinyl can be pre ordered here at the moment. Says Karin: We made it more intense and faster to fit our eccentric pecussionists and energetic live musicians. It is a monotone track but we worked with the dynamics trying to make it sparkle. I listened to it a lot when I was around 15, and it still moves me. It made me start reading Anne Sexton too.

Karin Andersson-Dreijer's Fever Ray project has produced it's 6th single. This time it's the excellent Keep The Streets Empty For Me that gets the video treatment. Directed by Swedish duo Conjunction we think it fits the songs haunting elements perfectly. Do you like it? We really like Fever Ray, but we can't get it out of our head that we want to see Karin dressed as Sue Ellen in her next video and for the mood not to be "dark and haunting" all the time. Ya know?
