Björk - Biophilia Teasers + Interview

We're beyond excited over these teasers for Björk's upcoming Biophilia album and project. Released sometime this year it'll the the world's first app album as it will be released on different apps in collaboration with Apple. It's also partially recorded on an iPad. Björk - Karókímaraþon fyrir Orkuauðlindirnar - Love Will Tear Us Apart

Björk organized a karaoke marathon on Iceland titeld The Voice of the People over the weekend just passed in order to raise signatures on a petition to put Icelandic natural resources in public ownership - and for the government to stop the sale of HS Orka to Magma Energy. She succeeded in rasing over 45.000 names the goal being 35.000. Have a look below with the Icelandic superstar singing Joy Division's immortal Love Will Tear Us Apart in true karaoke style. We commend her for thinking of such a great way to gain attention to a very important enviromental cause. For more info click here.
Björk - Gloomy Sunday - Live at Alexander McQueen's Memorial

Wearing McQueen angel wings and an ostrich feather dress Björk performed the Hungarian song Gloomy Sunday at the memorial for Lee Alexander McQueen at St. Pauls Cathedral yesterday, during London Fashion Week. The song known as The Hungarian Suicide Song tells a dark and haunting story of lost love and ending ones life. It was very fitting on this sad, sad occasion.
