Hot damn yes! Lady GaGa looks practically edible on the double cover of the upcoming January edition of British Elle - shot by famed fashion photographer Matt Irwin. Catch the full interview about spinach drinks and orgams when the issue hits the stands and iPads tomorrow!
Two words sprung into our heads watching Sarah Burton's S/S 2012 women's collection for Alexander McQueen shown in Paris yesterday - romantically aggressive. We love the juxtaposition of classic romantic layered dreams with elements of bondage complete with gimp masks. Hell yes! Different body parts exposed whilst others demure. We love that this was the first women's show after the lavish royal wedding, and that Sarah does not conform or buckle under the pressure of heading this fashion house with iconic status. It seems effortless really. Watch belooow! Can we pleaaaaseeeee see Kate Middleton in a Royal gimp mask. Pretty plzzzz.
"This is a collection about excess. It's an exploration of ideals of beauty at their most extreme. We go to such lengths to adorn ourselves that we almost become our clothes or are taken over by them."
Anna Wintour and the Vogue America ship are pulling out the big guns for the all important September issue. This year it contains 584 ad pages (most of any fashion title) earning them $92 million in revenue from this issue alone. Wow! To sell this they've enlisted Mario Testino to shoot Kate Moss in a made-to-order Alexander McQueen maroon hand-frayed organza & ostrich feather gown. Check, check, check! Kate is so well put together we for a split second thought this was a vintage shoot from the 90's! But alas, no it's brand new. Do you like it?
Milan Fashion Week is in full force and Sarah Burton presented the Alexander McQueen menswear collection for Spring/Summer 2012 last night. The emphasis is on a check and striped look with lots of layering and lovely tailoring. Have a look below at the full show. Enjoy!
Oh Lawdy Lawd! This video so awesome! Patrick Wolf hits a homerun with this! Floating lemons, monkey, parrot, the list goes on and on! Love the Alexander McQueen suit, customized by the McQ studio themselves with paint splatter. Watch House below!
