He also states that being considered the #1 model in the world means nothing and that he's not prioritizing love. Awww chucks! Chanel - The Tale of a Fairy by Karl Lagerfeld (Chanel Cruise 2012)

For Chanel's cruise collection 2011/2012 Uncle Karl has created The Tale of a Fairy - a short film featuring acting performances by the A-list of models. Kristen McMenamy, Freja Beha Erichsen and Baptiste Giabiconi to mention but a few. Set in the south of France it tells the story of violence and luxury. Models who act? Believe it! Now, we're thinking this film is supposed to sell the idea of Chanel's cruise collection + the idea of luxury. We're not quite sure it hits the target, quite the opposite we'd say. Have a look! It had it's premiere this week at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc at the Cap d’Antibes, France.

Baptiste Giabiconi - Showtime - Video Premiere + 2011 Pirelli Calendar

Baptiste Giabiconi has decided to rebrand himself as the male Ke$ha, releasing his debut single Showtime just in time for Christmas. As you can imagine it's pretty bad and the video is so dated it's ridicolous. The whole woman as a commodity thing is not so 2011, more 1811. But still, both the video and track has a je ne sais quoi quality to them that leaves you watching the whole thing. Hearing Baptiste speak and sing is truly mesmerizing. And the picture above is Baptiste thru the lens of Uncle Karl for the 2011 Pirelli calendar that for the first time features both women and men. Which Baptiste do you prefer? The dude in jeans in the US desert or the naked one shot by Karl Lagerfeld?
