We've come a looong way since Lana Del Rey's massive breakthrough in 2011. Summertime Sadness was an immidiate standout for us when the Born To Die album was released. So smooth yet so haunting. Dark but sparkling. Love! Released as a single in 2012 saw it blow up and remixed for the gods. The video alone has over 200 million views! Bau Bau takes the original and turns it into an 80's prom anthen; how could we not love that? The new atmosphere is absolute gold and the added drama from the drum and dark synth is just perfection. It's just what we need to be able to start this summer in our favourite style; pale and melancholic but with a great need for dancing and drinks outside after sunset! Best of both worlds. ENJOY!

Premiere: Róisín Murphy - Exploitation (Alan Fitzpatrick & Falco Benz Remixes)

On point! Róisín Murphy's too cool for school single Exploitation is a treat with its slow pulsating groove and sharp production. UK club producer Alan Fitzpatrick turns the already lengthy track into an odyssey of sounds and landscapes. It turns and twists and leaves us hypnotized with its drive and minimal production. It's a twisted listen hearing Ró whisper over the harder club beat. Love it! The Falco Benz treatment is equally as thrilling. It's wonderfully light and airy with a wonderful party feel to it. Ain't nuttin' bettah than shaking your money maker to an intelligent dance track! Hairless Toys - the album is out May 11!

Wow, loooove this one! FKA twigs' epic Two Weeks has such a distinct sound already that we're wild for. It's regal and combines steel and silk for a mix of stellar sounds. L.A based Aussie producer Craig Williams amps up the BPM and transforms the minimalistic original into a electronic club jam. Techno, techno, techno! We so wanna d.a.n.c.e to this one in a darkly lit basement and go wild with that bassline and epic synth. LOVE IT! Enjoy below + download here! 

Free Download: Ji Nilsson - I'm Her (Ushua Bootleg)

Ji Nilsson's soulful I'm Her gets treated to a bootleg remix and it's sicknin'! Bootlegger Ushua adds sharp edges and a darkness that is most intruiging. Like staring into dark waters and wondering what's hidden beneath the surface. The down pitched vocals really add to the mystery and the rumbling bassline and glimmers of other sounds are perfect. Love it!     

Premiere: Cerrone Feat. Beth Ditto - Supernature (Alan Braxe Mix)

It seems like Beth Ditto's cover of 1977 classic Supernature with French duo The Shoes became a real favourite with the originator. This as Cerrone invited to lay down a new version for his upcoming greatest hits package. Cool cat Alan Braxe is on the mix and it's a smoove for sure that follows the original more than the version from last year. The two things that we're a bit hesitant over is the cricket (?) sound - is that really on the final mix? And also it's a bit of a shame that they've polished the powerhouse Ditto vocals in this version. She's a belter - get used to it! Anyway, it's cool so listen belooow. Love the gold visuals, too!
