Lovin' how plush and solid the new Janet Jackson album era is. No Sleeep! Title track Unbreakable! Both so amazing and harking back to classic JJ but also looking forward. This Initial Talk mashup of Sleeep and another Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis production - S.O.S. Band's Even When You Sleep from 1986 is just beyond. Love it and some! They go perfectly togetha and makes us wanna dim the lights, rock with a lover and get down, haha. All Saints collaborated with then already legendary William Orbit on their UK #1 super hit Pure Shores and it took them into the music stratosphere, at least in Europe, in '99/'00. It's such a lush song with stellar vocals & music, on point production - timeless really. It didn't do any wonders for them chart wise in the US but it was featured on the soundtrack to The Beach and got attention as a cool track. Aussie DJ n' producer Kuosa amps up the track by adding a *tropical* flavoured cocktail to the mix and we ain't complaining. Diana Ross' 1980 US #1 Upside Down is one for the ages and one of the finest dance tracks ever to be released. We dare anyone to be able and sit still at a party if it comes on! Written and produced by Chic's Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards it still sounds as crisp as way back when. German DJ Céon takes a very contemporary approach to his bootleg and infuses his future house remix with pitched down vocals and infectious strings. Nice! This mix would sound awesome at a huge warehouse party somewhere at 3am that's for sure!
