In 1991 there was no email correspondence like today, that's why we have this. A letter from Madonna (she was already Dita) to Steven Meisel when she was shooting A League Of Their Own, a year before they collaborated on her Sex book. We love the tone in the letter. Like an angry 14-year old, haha. No wonder she was bored. She wanted to do THIS!

Because I cannot suffer any more than I have in the past month learning how to play baseball with a bunch of girls (yuk) in Chicago (double yuk) I have a tan, I am dirty all day and I hardly ever wear make-up. Penny Marshall is Lavern - Geena Davis is a Barbie doll and when God decided where the beautiful men were going to live in the world, he did not choose Chicago. I have made a few friends but they are athletes, not actresses. I hate actresses, they have nothing on the house of extravaganza. I wish I could come to N.Y and visit. Are you having a good Summer? Holy fuck, Ciara looks smokin' hot in her new video Gimme Dat! Converse stripper shoes are very happenin' as well. The track is sort of a concoction of every single she has released so far with some Janet Jackson circa 1989 thrown in for good measure. Prob not a huge hit, but we really like it and wanna stand half naked in a sweaty club and dance to thisssss soooon. Super sexy!
