Alesha Dixon - Radio (Robyn Sample)

Wow, Alesha Dixon must really want a hit song. Considering she's ripped of the distinctive synth from Robyn's Dancing On My Own for her own Radio (we hear some Usher in there too). We guesssss it could be a fair sample that's been cleared and all, but it just feels a bit boring to use something like that to get some airplay.  Alesha needs to step up her game. And singing about a turning up her radio? Eh, ipod? .mp3player? Spotify on your smart phone? Just sayin'.

Grrrr, love this editorial for Hercules Magazine. Deep In The City is so fucking hot and so full of life! Shot by Mariano Vivanco and styled by fashion director Nicola Formichetti starring a bevvy of stars such as Amanda Lepore, Lady Fag and Bo Ackerson. Hoooot! And we're thinking they got the inspiration for the name from Deep In Vogue by Malcolm McLaren ya?

Spirit Day! #itgetsbetter

Today is Spirit Day in honour of the young LGBT's who have committed suicide in the recent months due to homophobic abuse in their homes and schools. It's not easy for us to write this as we have tears in our eyes. Everyone deserves respect and the right to love whomever they choose. Love is love. So please know that it gets better over time and that you are not alone. We are so many out here that know how it feels and are just waiting to get to know ya and are literally just a phone call or an email away. Today we wear purple honouring the people who are no longer with us. And we honour them with keeping our spirits high and celebrating life. We did a little research for a song that would fit, and it's posted below. Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush sings it like it is.

Don't give up
'cause you have friends
Don't give up
You're not the only one
Don't give up
No reason to be ashamed
Don't give up
You still have us
Don't give up now
We're proud of who you are

Body Talk: Released…

I’m going to keep mixing up my tours with studio time and am hoping to stick to this new way of releasing music next year. This is the third, last part and completion of the Body Talk album. It was never my goal to break some kind of a world record in how many songs I could release in a year. Although I think it would count as a pretty good attempt, it’s been about the process for me. It’s been very interesting to try and figure out a more organic way of making music. A way that is unbiased and has it’s starting point in what feels logical to me, but also to the listeners.

Even though it was never a conceptual idea, but a practical solution to the problem of getting bored with just doing one thing at a time, it has influenced not only the music, but all the visual content for the album as well. And the way I’ve communicated with press and listeners. It’s been amazing to share the process with you. As soon as I have had an idea of what I’m doing so have the fans and that interaction has been super interesting and fun to me. As I’m writing this, I am still mixing the third album.

There are 5 new songs ready to be released and I’m also including music from Body talk pt 1 and 2 to complete this body of work in what will make the turbo version of the Body Talk album. Thanks for tagging along with me on this ride!
