Premiere: Sia - Alive

Yes, yes, yes! Sia is back with a brand new life affirming anthem to power dance to! Alive has awesome drum work and those stirring verses paired with a soaring chorus that she does brilliantly. When her voice cracks around near the end - wow! Originally written by Sia for Adele's new album she decided to keep it and it'll be on her upcoming This Is Acting album out later this year! Enjoy!

Premiere: Giorgio Moroder Feat. Sia - Déjà Vu

Giorgio Moroder and Sia are putting on their disco gear this weekend for some heavy dancing sessions. For some reason the official premiere was blocked here in Sweden (WTF?) yesterday so apologies if this post gives you sense of a Déjà Vu, haha. Legendary disco producer Giorgio will release his first own album 74 is the new 24 later this year and unlike the collab with Kylie Minogue this sounds classic d.i.s.c.o. The guitar and strings and stomping groove sound really old school and then Sia's layered vocals cuts through for a modern twist. Listen below! Thoughts?

Stream: Sia - Perfume (Solo Version)

Sia's new album 1000 Forms of Fear is out today to rave reviews and it's indeed such a perfect listen. This solo version of Perfume would fit so well as a bonus track for sure! Sia famously co-wrote it with Britney Spears for the Britney Jean album last year. A version was released online with both vocals present. This one however uses the stems of the original and The Dreaming Mix but showcases only the badass Furler vocal take. It's something in her delivery and raw angsty tone that just hits you over the head in the best way possible. It's black like liquorice and so tasty you just can't help yourself to a second serving. Too good Siiiiaaa!

Premiere: Sia - Big Girls Cry

Sia has us on a 1000 Forms of Fear exploration this summer with the unveiling of the album on July 8th coming closer and closer. What we've heard so far has been really extrovert and bombastic, this time we get more of an introspective mood. On Big Girls Cry we get the now trademarked soaring chorus, but the whole song shows restraint and tenderness. We love that you can hear Sia could easily uproot a tree with her voice alone - but she has it a bit subdued here. We know from experience people have a fear of showing their true colours and pretend to be strong when it's really the opposite they are feeling. So the idea of coming to a point of maturity where you can show your tears if you've been hurt is really powerful. It's not the easiest or most comfortable thing to show your vulnerability, but if you do it can become your greatest strength. Enjoy below! Thoughts? Kudos btw for the usage of Sia manager David Russell on the single cover. Keep it together in the family!

Premiere: Sia - Chandelier (Four Tet Remix)

Sia gets a perfect visitor in her Chandelier in the form of Kieran Hebden a.k.a Four Tet! The fearlessness and life affirming subject goes superbly with the rumbling organic bassline and minimalistic approach. It's awesome! We're mad for the end where Sia's voice really gets to shine on its own. We're gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist and swing like mad! Alsoooo, click here for an alternate take with guest vocals that didn't make the official cut. It's sweet! Enjoooy.
