Premiere: Sia - Big Girls Cry
Sia has us on a 1000 Forms of Fear exploration this summer with the unveiling of the album on July 8th coming closer and closer. What we've heard so far has been really extrovert and bombastic, this time we get more of an introspective mood. On Big Girls Cry we get the now trademarked soaring chorus, but the whole song shows restraint and tenderness. We love that you can hear Sia could easily uproot a tree with her voice alone - but she has it a bit subdued here. We know from experience people have a fear of showing their true colours and pretend to be strong when it's really the opposite they are feeling. So the idea of coming to a point of maturity where you can show your tears if you've been hurt is really powerful. It's not the easiest or most comfortable thing to show your vulnerability, but if you do it can become your greatest strength. Enjoy below! Thoughts? Kudos btw for the usage of Sia manager David Russell on the single cover. Keep it together in the family!
