Little Boots is heading out on a small DJ tour full of her own new edits of her sickenin' beats. Her dreamy and mellow Motorway gets its headlights sharpened with some added oomph and drums. Her latest album Nocturnes has been on repeat here since it came out at the beginning of last month. Little Boots is out on her tour promoting her Nocturnes album. What better then to drop some free remixes to induce some serious party feelings ahead of the various tour stops? L.A based boogie masters Cosmic Kids take her Broken Record and makes it shake like a mother on a dance floor. Great! This version plays like a dub so we're sure there's gonna be a version with fuller vocals! Love the old school feel of this one though. Shimmering synths and background vox to the tenth power! Wow, Little Boots just dropped the first Nocturnes single - Broken Record and it's a banger! Less commercial than her debut single New In Town but a tasty morsel from what we think will be a big club record! The groove is pulsating and strobing and leaves us craving more. DFA's owner and producer Tim Goldsworthy and 'Boots is clearly a winning combo!

Little Boots drops her sophomore album Nocturnes in May and teases with this brand new track - Motorway. Produced with Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford and Andy Butler of Hercules and Love Affair it sees Boots heading into a new terrain of more minimalistic beats that definitely showcases the 'night' of the album title. Little Boots - Smalltown Boy (Bronski Beat Cover)

Little Boots covers Bronski Beat's absolute 1984 classic Smalltown Boy for Ministry of Sound's compilation Uncovered Vol. 4 with an awesome result. She managed to infuse her own unique style while still staying true to the original. The song itself is a social commentary addressing LGBT issues with homophobia and rejection within small communities in the UK in the early 80's. Jimmy Sommerville's tormented falsetto tells the story with a chiling effect. Boots darker tone paired with the warmth in her voice creates a new space for the song - she could be the safe harbour of love and acceptance all the Jimmys meet fleeing to the city and heading out into the neon nightlife even in 2012.
