Premiere: Chet Faker - Killswitch

We're forever mesmerized by the music of Chet Faker. The sparse and mellow beats & production paired with that gorgeous voice - wow. Killswitch is no exception + it's the base for his amazing 1998. At first only officially released on the Japanese edition of his debut album Built On Glass last year it's now getting a wider release. The moody vibe and distorted vocals with that lone piano is really effective and it scared the ish out of us that his 2nd album isn't aready here. :l

Absolutely loving the Chet Faker & BANKS collaboration 1998! Wow, tune! Its original is featured on the Faker EP Built on Glass and now re-worked into a duet. Since both artists possess such distinctive voices and infuse their own tracks with such acute awareness and presence this is a match made in electro lo-fi R&B heaven. It's so hot and direct and just makes you crazy. Actually, it's so good we could shed a tear, haha. ENJOY!   

Introducing: Cleopold - Down In Flames

Say hello to Cleopold and excellent debut single Down In Flames! Released on fellow Australian Chet Faker's label Detail Co. Records it has that amazing soulfulness that we associate with Faker - love it! Cleopold has previously been featured on releases by Miami Horror and Cassian - we hope he adds to that list for sure. His voice is just what's needed - those sharp edges and gorgeous depth. His debut is stunning in how disjointed it is, so many styles - and the pauses, the pauses. Love. The verses play out a relationship ending and the chorus truly soars and makes the track pop. Top marks Cleopold!       

Say Lou Lou Feat. Chet Faker - Fool of Me - Premiere

Wow, this is an absolutely stunning track! Say Lou Lou's gorgeous single Julian is out and on it comes a Chet Faker collaboration - Fool of Me as the b-side. The dream pop mode is achingly beautiful and Chet's deep voice is a sharp contrast to Miranda and Elektra's that we just love. If they consider this to be casual flip side material we simply cannot wait for the debut album. Flawless comes to mind! The only thing is we'd love to her more Faker vocals on there, but that's a small thing as the bigger aspect is just perfect. Enjoy!
