Björk - Sacrifice + Thunderbolt (Death Grips Remixes) - Premiere

OK, so we are in love with both remixes from the second series of Björk's Biophilia Remix Series. This time it's Sacrifice and Thunderbolt who are getting new outfits courtesy of Death Grips. We love the groove, the depths and the urgency of both tracks. Top marks from us! Originals here and here! As we're getting one new series every other week, this baby will be out on Monday the 30th as download, CD and vinyl! Death Grips consists of blastbeat drummer Zach Hill, keyboardist Andy Morin and vocalist Stefan Burnett. This experimental hip-hop project started out in Sacramento, California, and put out its first mixtape 2011, and are now signed to major player Epic.

Björk - Biophilia Remixes Part One - Giveaway

Björk's Biophilia project is way more than ambitious and gutsy. It's roadmapping the future and exploring new ways of communication. Tying together aspects of music, science and human nature in ways only Björk could. So many amazing people are involved creating the apps, visuals, tour, music, instruments. We love it! Last week saw the release of the latest chapter - part 1 (8 in total) of the Biophilia Remix Series. To celebrate we have 2 of 'em on CD to give away. Yay! Björk - Solstice (Current Value Remix) - Premiere

The first chapter of Björk's Biophilia remix project is out today! We posted the Current Value remix of Crystalline a few weeks ago - and here's Solstice! Wow, what a complete makeover! It starts off gently and kicks into the core for sure! Every two weeks from now on we're gonna get a new chapter, the final being 8. The whole series will be available on 12" vinyl, CD and download and in true Björk style each entry in the series will also be made available in a 500-piece limited edition deluxe package designed by m/m with special blue mineral papers and embossed foil lettering consisting of a 12” LP and CD. Current Value is one of the top drum n' bass producers and him being Berlin based we get flashes of clubs in Kreuzberg and being in a massive club with strobe lights flashing hearing this. Björk - Crystalline (Current Value Remix)

Björk is getting ready to release her Biophilia Remix Series  - April 16th sees the first of an eight part series. This Current Value remix of Crystalline kicks things off and will then go on to feature a new collaboration every two weeks with artists like 16-bit, King Cannibal, Death Grips and Matthew Herbert. The whole series will be available on 12" vinyl, CD and download and in true Björk style each entry in the series will also be made available in a 500-piece limited edition deluxe package designed by m/m with special blue mineral papers and embossed foil lettering consisting of a 12” LP and CD. Current Value is one of the top drum n' bass producers and him being Berlin based we instantly got the feeling we were in a sweaty club somewhere in Kreuzberg. Plus we also got some flashbacks to the Post and Telegram era. Have a listen below! Thoughs?
