Premiere: CocoRosie Feat. ANOHNI - Smoke 'em Out

CocoRosie and ANOHNI all get together against Donald Trump in brand new track Smoke 'em Out. Read their statement below. 

Today we share a new song to inspire the weary-disappointed hearts of so many crest-fallen citizens. We just started working on a new album, but “Smoke ‘em Out” begged to be turned loose on the world now, as a means of participation during these turbulent yet invigorating times. Joined on guest vocals by our fellow Future Feminist ANOHNI, “Smoke ‘em Out” welcomes the new character who will be occupying the White House with a mob of women and children armed with forks and knives. In the wake of this unnatural disaster, we feel a call to rise, shout, and burn the house down. The future is female.

The track itself is a thumping one with a steely, chilly beat, razor sharp rap and a roaring drum machine and ANOHNI's distinct vocals kicking in mid song. Love! The opposition against Trump is real and they (we) bring great music, too. Listen below! Pic via Pitchfork.  

Video Premiere: ANOHNI - Drone Bomb Me

New ANOHNI and it's an a m a z i n g track! Drone Bomb Me is more electronic than the work with Antony and The Johnsons, and ain't nothing wrong with that. We're getting elated hearing this gorgeous & familiar soaring voice, but the darkness lurking is oh so close. A black diamond filled with secrets. The video directed by Nabil and starring Naomi Campbell with art direction by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy is terrific too. However, it's so stylish it almost takes away from the sensation of the stellar track. However, it's an absolute treat nonetheless. Watch below via Apple Music's exclusive! Thoughts? Premiere: ANOHNI - 4 Degrees

ANOHNI F.K.A. Antony Hegarty just dropped 4 Degrees - the first single from the upcoming album Hopelessness, co-produced by Hudson Mohawke and Oneohtrix Point Never! It's a breathtaking listen. The joyus music and regal sound of it all paired with the blood chilling lyrcis. WOW! It's rushing and emotional and we love it. And yes, it's about the climate change.
