Video Premiere: Björk - The Gate

Björk has described her upcoming ninth studio album Utopia as her Tinder album. After her divorce and subsequent 2015 heartbreak album, the incredibly intense Vulnicura it's no wonder. Although we wonder if she's aware how unromantic that app really is and so hard to navigate away from the spam profiles, haha. The Gate is the first taste from her new collection of songs and as with any Björk era it both sounds and looks like an event beyond this dimension. The song, co-produced by Arca, pulsates and gleams and builds around a "care for" aspect that sounds gorgeous. The production really outs the vocals front and centre and both feels like classical music and as a glimpse into the future. The visuals directed by Andrew Thomas Huang lends a warmth and a tenderness coated in armour that we just love. B being a fashionista, too, is clad by Gucci’s Alessandro Michele, looking every inch like the wondrous being she is. Cannot wait for more!
