Men Photographed in Stereotypical Pin-Up Poses

Photographer Rion Sabean's project Men-Ups features men in stereotypical manly scenery doing stereotypical female classic pin-ups poses. The male gaze theory applied to situations like this just shows how absurd and constructed classic pin-ups are. We really like this, for the humurous side of it, but also the political and social commentary this brings. Thanks Micke for the heads up!

Zombie Boy by Matthew Lyn for Schön Magazine

Before becoming Zombie Boy, Rick Genest was a Canadian dude with no tattoos sleeping outside and racking up $20,000 in fines for doing so. After the tattoos he was spotted by Nicola Formichetti on his Facebook page and the rest is pretty much known. Now he is Zombie Boy with all of us. Photographer Matthew Lyn decided to treat us to what he looked like before. We like Rick's tattooed self for sure, but he looks really handsome without 'em!

Nicola Formichetti's Pop Up Shop

Nicola Formichetti really workin' it and recently opened up his own pop up shop on 50 Walker Street in New York City. (Now closed.) Björk - Moon - Video Premiere!

Moon is the official second single off Björk's Biophilia and now it has its own video. Shot during the Biophilia artwork session it's also directed, produced and art directed by Björk together with Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, M/M Paris and James Merry. It looks like an improvised one take approach. We're rooting for Mutual Core to get the video treatment! When it comes to Moon we especially like the lyrics. Magical.

Vogue US are as we know going down the classic romantic route for the all important September issue. So it's nice to see that Vogue Italia are doing a 180 paying hommage to Ethel Granger, the woman with the smallest waist on earth, thru the lens of Steven Meisel and starring Stella Tennant. Badass! Now this is our idea of a romantic look.
