Stronger Than Jesus

A Camp's self titled first album is easily one of the most played in the Gangster household. It's pure perfection. So we've been eagerly awaiting new material from Nina Persson, Nathan Larson and Niklas Frisk.
It's been a long 8 years...
And now finally - the first sample off new album Colonia is here - Stronger Than Jesus.
The expectations are high and A Camp definitely delivers. It is greatness that we see will age as beautifully as Songs for Leftovers and Rock n' Roll Ghost. We are a bit surprised that the fantastic trio didn't quite deliver an amazing video to this amazing song. This we say as the videos to their previous releases have been flawless and that Nina's The Cardigans are known for their quirkiness and style when it comes to videos. But that's a minor flaw. Showing dedication

 We gotta give props to Robyn. She's been pimping her last album the past (almost) 4 years. And it's taken her around the world and back. From local Swedish festivals to David Letterman and opening for Madonna in Europe. Just in time for Xmas she's releasing yet another version of the album with new cover art and remixes and a full bonus DVD with all the videos. When we saw her live in 2005 we fell in love with the electro version of her old hit Keep This Fire Burning. It awesome. And now we have the studio version as appearing on the pimped out version of Robyn. Click here to hear it.

Robyn was nominated tonite for an American Grammy in the Best Electronic/Dance Album category. Awesome!

Bulent Ersoy is one hot mama

Thanks to Gottegrisen we have found this lovely little creature. Bulent Ersoy was one of Turkey's most popular male singers and actors and gained international notoriety in 1981 for a sex change operation. Ersoy kept the name "Bülent" even though it is more common among males. After the operation, Bülent found herself in opposition to the homophobic and transphobic regime of Turkey at the time. In a crackdown on "social deviance," Ersoy's public performances were banned along with those of other transsexual and transgendered people. But she fought it, even though she tried to commit suicide at one point. Her video for Hani bizim Sevdamiz is pure class! Watch below.

She did it again!

Robyn's been promoting the same album for almost 4 years now. And she's done really well doing so. We love how she believed in her idea and then executed it so well. The international version with the videos and promo tour included is just simply flawless. Now - she's just released a brand new video for the US bonus track 'Dream On'. It rocks!

Designer Drugs x Mariah Carey

This is one of the best remixes of the year. Mariah Carey's 'I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time' gets a fierce electro makeover by Designer Drugs. Amazing! DD submitted this for M's remix competition - of course they didn't win.
But they stole our heart with this.
