Acoustic Robyn

To stay in the spotlight until the next album - Robyn is stripping her music down to the bare essentials with acoustic live renditions on a new release called The Cherrytree Sessions. The disc features acoustic versions of three songs from her self-titled album. Included is this live version of With Every Heartbeat. Robyn is great, so it's time for her to release some new material! In the meantime, listen below.

Jump to the beat!

When you and I were 13 we were dancing in front of the mirror in the hallway and pretending to be superstars. When Stacy Lattisaw was 13 she was a mega star and performed all over the world. For some reason her disco music has disappeared into infinity. Jump to the beat and Attack of the Name Game are great songs, and totally deserves to be remembered.

More, gimme more, gimme more

Like a cold night, when you shiver in bed, burning up from a fever. This is the debut single from Karin Dreijer's solo project Fever Ray. If I had a heart glistens like ice in a moonlit forest when you are trying to find your way home. There is no one to help you and you lost your phone.

We like both the song and the video. It's been a real slow burner and we still need some time to get acquainted. A special shout out to Nicklas who made the kick ass fish people. See you in Orebronx for beer and burgers.

Cover of the day

Dolly Parton has done some amazing music during her career. So lord knows why she felt like doing a disco remake of Petula Clark's classic Downtown in 1984. But she did. Listen below.

Adele in 1988

Adele from North London has had an amazing year with her super duper hit Chasing Pavements and the world wide success with her debut album 19. But what happens if you pair her heartbroken soul with hip hop beats from 1988? Click below to find out. And if you like it - download the whole mashup album here.
