Video Premiere: Nelly Furtado - Pipe Dreams

Yas! Nelly Furtado is b.a.c.k! It's been a full decade since she truly ruled the planet with her Loose album era produced with Timbaland. Her next album The Ride will feature collaborators such as Dev Hynes, Sky Ferreira & Kaytranada and first taster Pipe Dreams sets the bar high. Over a dreamy beat we get Nelly's distinct vocals and the end result is a gleaming gem of a song filled with depth and soul. The video is a lo-fi take far removed from her popstar days on roof tops and basement parties. She's wasting no time whatsoever as it's released directly via Pitchfork. NO middle hands! Watch below! Thoughts?

Video Premiere: Austra - Future Politics

Katie Stelmanis sees the unnerving political times we live in and channels her toughts into a new Austra album. Future Politics is released on January 20 2017 and lead single is the title track. A pulsating electro beat with a piercing vocal and thundering drums helps to deliver the message of change. As Katie says: It's time to build visions that are radically different from anything we've known before. The striking visuals builds on the same theme; a bleak corporate world with strict clothing and skyscrapers and concrete where dancing takes over and an alternate gathering forms. It reminds of Little Boots' Working Era actually!

Premiere: Clare Maguire - Elizabeth Taylor (Mulholland Edition)

Just in time for the weekend - here's a remix banger from Clare Maguire! Her very awesome slow burner Elizabeth Taylor turns into a piano house jam and we call know that the real Liz T loved to p a r t y so it fits right in! There's something magical about a emotive songs that get paired with a dance beat and not to mention a powerful vocal. This one hits all the right places and we just wanna thank Clare so much for this treat. Enjoy below!

Premiere: The xx - On Hold

Romy, Oliver and Jamie are back! The xx are a much needed always and On Hold is the first taster of upcoming album I See You (out January 13th). We really like the patented xx sound, and how it's paired with a slight hip hop club feel and how it samples Daryl Hall & John Oates' I Can't Go For That (No Can Do). And obviously amazing vocals from Oliver & Romy + how Jamie xx's production influence is so strong. Too nice!

Premiere: Mr. Tophat Feat. Robyn - Trust Me

Lovin' this! Mr. Tophat and Robyn teamed up for the Main Thing remix earlier this year and now we have mooore. Here's a brand new jam - Trust Me! Robyn has been on a roll these last few years with all her collaborations - Neneh Cherry, Kindness, La Bagatelle Magique to name but a few, this adds to the collections so nicely. It sounds so genuine and like they had a proper blast creating it. Coming off like a love child of a 70's San Francisco disco club and long summer nights clubbing in Stockholm with an organic groove and a lil' string action, paired with those distinct Robyn vocals and a quirky & jazzy soundscape. All held together by that warm tone. Love it! Listen below!
