Premiere: MNEK - Believe (Cher Refix)

MNEK has a knack for taking well known songs and refixing them into a whole new track. Like this one of Sade's No Ordinary Love for instance. So good! Tonight he's treating us to a fresh new take on a track that's been played to death - 1998 landmark single for Cher - Believe. The then pioneering electronic processing of her voice is here replaced by a more soulful take and musically it sounds like it would fit any garage compilation from early 00's. Cool! Love the chorus building up here and how it's a 180 take from the dance original. Check out below; thoughts?   

Cher - Woman's World - Premiere

Cher is so hands on using social media in the 6th decade of her career it wouldn't surprise us one bit if she uploaded the full Woman's World herself to all the sites! She asked her Twitter followers two days ago if they had any info regarding new leaks and then did they job herself. Early next year sees the release of her 26th (!!) studio album and this first taster has Cher alone in a club losing herself in the beat of the drum. We can picture it! When the chorus kicks in no one dares to mess with her or those pipes! As we said earlier it's based on classic Cher themes of empowerment, love hurting and being stronger than ever. We can already hear the calls from other legends being made to their therapists, haha. Cher is out for blood on the dancefloor charts! Listen below! Thoughts?

Cher - Woman's World - Preview

Cher is getting ready for the release of her 26th (!) album Woman's World later this year. This will be her first commercial full length album since 2001's Living Proof. First taster is the title track that got its first play at a Michigan club over the weekend. Judging by this extended preview it's a club banger that is based on classic Cher themes of empowerment, love hurting and being stronger than ever. We can already hear the calls from other legends being made to their therapists, haha. Cher is out for blood on the charts, haha. Listen below! Thoughts?

Update: Looking at Cher's twitter it's clear she's not happy about the track getting any plays at all. Looks like it's an early not finished version + the release date has been pushed back to January. We'll see what develops from this! Cher is one of few who could generate such interest in a LQ 60 sec clip of a demo cut as it's blowing up online!

Lady GaGa - Queen of the MTV VMA's 2010

I never thought I'd be asking Cher to hold my meat purse. Sounds like the best sentence of the evening. GaGa won big at last nights MTV VMA's getting 8 of 13 moon men she was nominated for. And dressed in a meat dress she also announced the title to her upcoming album - Born This Way. Check out her acceptance speech for Video of the year for Bad Romance below.
