Premiere: MNEK - The Rhythm (Alpines Remix)

We had Uzoechi Osisioma Emenike's fantastic The Rhythm featured on our Best of '14, and no wonder - it's stunning and just keeps on giving. London duo Alpines grabs the 90's inspired house beat and soulful vocals and created a brilliant confection of salty and sweet, creamy and hard. The mix twists and turns and we love the idea of pairing that house beat with some softer dreamy qualities. Top marks! Thoughts?

We've played London's finest Bob Matthews and Catherine Pockson AKA Alpines remixes of Lana Del Rey and Emeli Sandé a lot this year. So only fitting that this duo gets remixed by another duo - Brooklyn based CREEP! Their take on Empire is seriously addicitive and the build-up is the stuff of dark dreams.
