Awww, too sweet! Just in time for the holidays - Lykke Li has put together her Lost Sessions in a Vol. 1 pack and urging for her fans to spread the music and love. That's the spirit! We're knocked over with a massive cold so it was a most welcome email. Listen below, and the click here for the .mp3's of Jerome, I Follow Rivers and Youth Knows No Pain. Wounded Rhymes is totally one of the best and cohesive albums of the year. Already dying for Vol. 2! Thank you Lykke!
I'd thought I'd give you this to put in your little players, either stick it in your ears or play it loud when the lights are low, mind weary and days rainy.
Remember; life is a process, no feeling is final.
There is no end and no beginning.
Yours truly always,
Lykke Li
PS: If you like it you are welcome to spread it on those little Internet waves. Maybe send it like a little gift or a kindly flu filled kiss. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. VOL . 1 ( !!!!!)
Yum! Just in time for Christmas we get a nice present from The Magician in the form of his Magic Tape Eighteen. Sweet! If this was edible we'd in a food coma right now! Check out this groovy selection of music from Housse De Racket, Oliver and Perseus to mention a few. Enjoy!
We can honestly say we listen to music all the time. Since we were like 10 we've made music lists and hopefully will do so 60 years from now. Below are our 25 favourite tracks from the year just passed, presented in no particular order except to make the sequence sound extra hawt! We've had a lot of fun curating this list for sure as we love the diversity of this year's selection of artists. From Adele bringing back selling music in physical format to Björk's experimental app album. The cover art is made especially for us by Paris based luxury design illustrator Jean-Baptiste Guesdon. Sweet! Enjoy! For the track list click here.
Say hallo to Sophia Somajo aka Soso, the much hyped, much talented DIY artist from Stockholm. Her debut album The Laptop Diaries from '08 features all vocals recorded from the built in microphone on her Mac. She also co-wrote Time Machinewith Robyn and Max Martin for last year's Body Talk album. Who's Gonna Love Me is a hypnotic track with an great fusion of Asian influenced strings and electronic production. Her new "debut" album under the Soso moniker That Time I Dug So Deep I Ended Up In China is out next year. Listen below and grab the free .mp3! You said you wanted to love me, but I don't even love myself. Chills down our spine.
