Tracey Thorn is indeed a bedsit disco queen just like the title of her memoir says. Her music ranges from dark euphoria to whispered secrets under a blanket. We recently audio read her book and it makes a very tasty treat for an EBTG fan like us! Her 2007 single It's All True was her first solo outing since 1982's solo debut Plain Sailing from her A Distant Shore album. While we adore her entire discography there is something especially mesmerizing about It's All True. The perfect bassline & synths paired with those casual lyrics about absolute and everlasting love. We don't need. Don't need a big fanfare. This is just my heart laid bare. For anyone who might care. It's just so perfect there needs to be a new word created. Not to mention those incredible vocals that makes us wanna dance and cry at the same time. Many mixed emotions! The video makes for an interesting watch too - in true TT style it's simplistic, memorable and genius. This mix plays like an extended album version with a dub mix thrown in for good measure.
