Lykke Li's Wounded Rhymes album is one of our favorites of the year - and Sadness Is A Blessing is oh so perfect. Love it so! So mellow and sweet. Admittedly perhaps not the most uplifting song to play on a Friday night out, but check out this remix. British DJ D/R/U/G/S teams Lykke's sadness and wounded rhymes with some uplifting an addictive house piano. Sadness on the dancefloor is a magical combination. Enjoy!

Stunning live rendition from earlier in the month of Sadness Is A Blessing from Lykke Li and her band on Swedish television. This track is so good!!! Earlier this week Lykke blogged about her not feeling well after a meltdown and joint problems in Glasgow and has had to cancel shows. Sounds serious so we hope she's better and wish a speedy recovery.
I must off course start this post with saying how truly sorry I am for canceling shows. The show must always go on I know, but this time I just couldn't stand up, let alone roll those god damn hips. I had some kind of complete meltdown on Marks&Spencer in Glasgow on one of those very rare days off while on route. For various reasons, various hardships sneaked up on me and I was standing at an isle contemplating life and death and the struggles of being an artist/soul/woman/human being when the overbearingness sneaked up on me like Batman himself. I fell to the floor and so did the raspberries I had in my hand, the troubled breathing lead to some severe lumbago which ment I couldn't move and had to lay straight for a few days. In a valium haze I took a flight back to my loved ones where a strong man cracked my holy spine loose and I was soon able to walk again. Little did I know it was my troubled hip joint that was the problem in the first place, so had to go back to a horizontal mode. My body then decided Easter was the perfect time to let a god damn flu blossom out, so I spent the whole easter praying to God to get better, drinking ginger tea while watching Apocalypse Now wishing nothing more then that I could have been on that stage with you.
Lykke Li keeps going from strength to strength. Check out the just released mini movie to Sadness Is A Blessing, directed by Tarik Saleh featuring Stellan Skarsgård and a drunk dancing Lykke. Sadness is such a beautiful track - our personal favourite from Wounded Rhymes.
