World Aids Day

Today is World Aids Day, and while the work raising awareness goes on all year round, today is a very important day. Over 33 million people are now living with HIV making it one of the most destructive epidemics in recorded history. And we all need to show solidarity with each other by make people aware of what is happening, getting facts across, and make sure that we all stay safe and get tested regularly. Below Hans Rosling has some facts for you. We've posted it before, but it's always nice with a reminder.

The Lazarus Effect - 30-min documentary from (RED) & HBO

Please take 30 minutes to watch The Lazarus Effect - a documentary that follows the story of HIV positive people in Africa who were at death's door and in as little as 40 days undergo a remarkable transformation to health, when they gain access to the 2 lifesaving pills that cost around 40 cents a day. We need to continue to increase public awareness of HIV/AIDS and make sure that the efforts to increase funding for AIDS services and research never ends.

The Lazarus Effect (RED)

On Monday the 24th the 30 minute documentary The Lazarus Effect will premiere on HBO, Youtube and Channel 4. The film follows the story of four people who were at deaths door from HIV/AIDS and were brought back to life thanks to access to treatment. For just 20p a day one person's life can be transformed.
