Premiere: Lady GaGa - Perfect Illusion
Eight years since Lady GaGa debuted with The Fame - here's Perfect Illusion, her first pop single in three years! The last time we had a solo studio album was 2013's ARTPOP that built on her myth but felt uneven and heavy. The last few years we've had her joint jazz album with Tony Bennett and her The Countess character on American Horror Story as main anchors if a LG fix has been needed. Her return to Mother Monster sounds like a fun rock anthem, co-written with both Tame Impala's Kevin Parker, Mark Ronson and Bloodpop (Blood Diamonds). It sounds miles away from her catchiest hits and but could have been included on The Fame Monster easily. So classic GaGa but still looking to the future. Her album is still going under title LG5 and it'll be interesting to hear what this new era hold. We really like how effortless this new taster sounds like and how she still holds true to her core. Thoughts?
Mistaken for love, it was a perfect illusion...
