Björk - Thunderbolt + Hollow (Current Value Remixes) - Biophilia Remix Series IV

Björk's Thunderbolt - one of our personal favourites off Biophilia - gets a shiny new suit just in time for summer courtesy of Berlin based drum n' bass producer Current Value. He's the man behind the Crystalline and Solstice remixes that kicked off this remix project in March. We're really into this take! We imagine being at an open air party in the very near future and dancing to this dreamy but hard soundscape and see a dimly lit night sky. So beautiful and fitting. Since these mixes dropped just a few hours ago we don't have a stream of Hollow yet - but will update the post asap when we do! Enjoy!

Björk - Cosmogony + Virus - Biophilia Remix Series lll

It's Monday - and yes it's time for brand new Björk remixes! Turns out we already wrote about one of 'em last weeeeek and thought is was a well crafted bootleg. But no! It's an official one! This week it's Biophilia Remix Series lll and it offers the heavenly take on Virus (Peaches and Guacamol Rework) by Scottish electronic producer Hudson Mohawke. We love the majestic sounds of it so. Pablo Díaz-Reixa a.k.a El Guincho is the man behind the Cosmogony one - he's a Spanish musician who is also known in Spanish speaking countries as an expert lullaby singer for children. Admist some worrying news that Björk has had to cancel more concerts due to vocal problems comes this majestic bootleg remix of Virus. The Hudson Mohawke Peaches and Guacamol Rework takes this love story to new heights - and we love it! Björk - Sacrifice + Thunderbolt (Death Grips Remixes) - Premiere

OK, so we are in love with both remixes from the second series of Björk's Biophilia Remix Series. This time it's Sacrifice and Thunderbolt who are getting new outfits courtesy of Death Grips. We love the groove, the depths and the urgency of both tracks. Top marks from us! Originals here and here! As we're getting one new series every other week, this baby will be out on Monday the 30th as download, CD and vinyl! Death Grips consists of blastbeat drummer Zach Hill, keyboardist Andy Morin and vocalist Stefan Burnett. This experimental hip-hop project started out in Sacramento, California, and put out its first mixtape 2011, and are now signed to major player Epic.

Björk - Biophilia Remixes Part One - Giveaway

Björk's Biophilia project is way more than ambitious and gutsy. It's roadmapping the future and exploring new ways of communication. Tying together aspects of music, science and human nature in ways only Björk could. So many amazing people are involved creating the apps, visuals, tour, music, instruments. We love it! Last week saw the release of the latest chapter - part 1 (8 in total) of the Biophilia Remix Series. To celebrate we have 2 of 'em on CD to give away. Yay!
