Erykah Badu - Window Seat

We had a huge musical crush on Erykah Badu when we were in high school. Then she sort of disappeared off our radar. Five albums into her career she's making headlines for her new video Window Seat. Shot guerilla style with no crew, one take, no closed set, no warning, 2 min, downtown Dallas, then running like hell it sends a powerful and raw message. On top of that its filmed without any permission in Dealey Plaza, a popular tourist spot since Kennedy's 1963 assassination. And Erykah strips to complete nude and then gets shot. Powerful and empowering. The message being the moment you reveal your true self and refuse to conform to what society expects of you they try to take you down. Yesterday she was officially charged with disorderly conduct, which just proves her point even more. Watch below.
