Midnight Shift: GSR Summer Mixtape 2017

It's summer and we just hit 12K followers on Facebook. Thank you! Perfect time to celebrate with a brand new mixtape! We geared this one to a late night when you just wanna d.a.n.c.e. to both new music and classic ones + cozy up with friends at the same time and get that 2am cocktail going. Donna Summer gets the mix started and then it follows with Róisín Murphy, FRIDA, Jupiter, Dannii Minogue (with Madonna), Britney Spears, Yoko Ono, Clubland and Goldfrapp. Stellar remixes from people like Little Boots, Junge Junge, Claptone, Villains, Dave Audé, Holy Ghost! and Danny Dove amp up the energy - we hope you like. Yoko Ono - I'm Moving On (Papercha$er Remix) + ONOMIX Sampler

There are numerous reasons to love Yoko Ono as it is. However the badass lady オノ・ヨーコ（小野 洋子 keeps adding stuff to our list, haha. Not only is she contantly out traveling with her art, (we saw it last year) but she keeps commissioning and cranking out some real club gems giving other artists a run for their money. Tomorrow the 18th sees the release of ONOMIX - a 30 Track Remix Retrospective gathering her dance hits with new ones. Lead single is the Papercha$er remix of her 1980 track I'm Moving On from the now classic Double Fantasy album with her legendary husband John Lennon. Listen to the original here! The new take is a real step away from it and sure to wake you up, haha. Imagine how fun it'd be to go out clubbing with Yoko! She's got the pulse on what's happenin' for sure! Enjoy!

Yoko Ono - She Gets Down On Her Knees (2012 Remixes)

Our beloved オノ ヨーコ scored her 9th #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart last year with Talking To The Universe. Amazing! She's added 18 (!) remixes of her 1974 (but released in 1997) track She Gets Down On Her Knees for DJ's consideration. We can't get enough of the bangin' Penguin Prison remix, that's for sure. This week she's at #11 and last week at number 5 so let's hope she can turn it around! We can just imagine people dancing up a storm to sentences such as: She gets down on her knees to throw up life. That's the only thing she does it good. Go Yoko! Full lyrics here. Yoko Ono - Talking to the Universe - Remixes!

One of the world's coolest people オノ ヨーコ just released her new remix EP containing brand new mixes of her 1995 track Talking to the Universe. The line You're a dildo, I'm a whore, I'm a Barbie, you're a whore needs to be shouted across the dancefloors! If it shoots to #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play it'll be her 9th number one! Not that age has anything to do with anything, but we hope we're as productive and active when we're 78! Yoko is also taking part in Wanås exhibition of contemporary art in Sweden this summer. Citing that not everything has to be centralized, instead lots of things can happen on a local level. Love her! As a bonus we've added her Billboard #1's in this post so you can have an Ono evening!
