Next month same-sex marriage could become illegal in the state of Maine as people will vote yes or no on Proposition 1. To us it's mind boggling to think that people actually can turn down the basic human right to love for fellow human beings. Protect Maine Equality has done a great viral and TV ad campaign that's running now. Check it out.

The Pop Music Industry is a fickle business. One in and one out. Less than a month after Jade Ewen joined Sugababes they look set to be bigger than ever. About A Girl is out next month but already gaining massive airplay. And this Sharp Boys remix takes the mediocre video to a whole new level and will get asses shakin' at clubs world wide.

Annie's sophomore album Don't Stop will finally be released on October 19th in Europe. (Oct 28th in Japan, Nov 17th in the US.) So far we've heard bits and pieces and it seems like a fun album. My Love Is Better, the second single is a pop gem and was released digitally last week. But who knew? Where is Annie's marketing team? It takes more than a myspace page people! Below is My Love Is Better, third single I Don't Like Your Band (amazing) and the album cut When The Night, a cute but a bit bland ballad about loooove.

Our new style guru is Tavi Gevinson, the wonder kid in the fashion blog universe. We say kid, as Tavi is 13. Living in Chicago with her family Tavi spends her days blogging about fashion when she's not in school. And at this years New York Fashion Week she had front row seats at the major shows with editors and celebrities seated behind her. Tavi describes herself as a "tiny 13 year old dork that sits inside all day wearing awkward jackets and pretty hats. Scatters black petals on Rei Kawakubo's doorsteps and serenades her in rap." And she's been on the cover of Pop Magazine and that's pretty much so cool it hurts. We see this as only a tiny fragment of what Tavi has in store for us, and we will be following her with interest.
