El Perro Del Mar - Hold Off The Dawn (Nattbuss + Gidge Remixes) - Free Download

Sweden's finest sea dog El Perro Del Mar keeps on delivering goodness. This time it's a Nattbuss remix of Hold Off The Dawn that turns it on its head. Over a dark and hard beat Sarah's voice is twisted into a deep nightmarish being full of secrets. The dawn can come now plz! Stop holding it off! All jokes aside it's a tasty morsel of electronic pulsating beats so well worth listening to. Gidge, an electronic duo from Umeå created the most soft, textured and subtle remix - light-years from the Nattbuss one. A sweer and softer way to wait for dawn to come. Have a listen! For the full stream of her excellent album Pale Fire click here! Enjoy!

El Perro Del Mar - Walk On By (Andrew Hung Remix)

El Perro Del Mar's Walk On By is one of our top three songs of 2012. Andrew Hung of Fuck Buttons transforms the original delicate and powerful track into a sparse and even more somber affair and we cannot get enough. Something strangely soothing and hypnotic with this remix. The amazing groove is replaced with and end of days feel and it's so good! Listen below!

The Best of 2012: The Year In Music

2012 has offered some truly amazing music moments for us! We saw Grimes, El Perro Del Mar and Madonna live in concert to mention but a few! Very awesome! Album wise we're blown away by what we've had on repeat. It feels unreal that Lana Del Rey's Born To Die album came out only this year, not to mention twice, haha! We've played it so many times it feels like it's been out forever. Frank Ocean's Channel Orange album with it raw emotions and amazing instrumentation. So good! Other standouts for us on repeat are First Aid Kit, Azealia Banks and Bat For Lashes. Also so happy for new material from truly iconic artists like Björk, Tori Amos and Sinéad O'Connor! Below we've gathered some of our personal favorites from the year just passed. Moments of pure clarity and happiness collected on one Spotify playlist! How awesome Solange made such a splash with her brilliant True EP this late in the year! AMAZING! Enjoy below and do gives us your thoughts on your faves! (2011's list can still be found here so ya know!)

El Perro Del Mar - Hold Off The Dawn - Video Premiere

We saw El Perro Del Mar live last month and it was such an awesome experience. She has different qualities live and recorded and we love both! Her live vocals for instance when she moves and has an audience has a depth that we're sure is hard to capture and compress to an .mp3. How brilliant then that the video to Hold Off The Dawn is a live take; very simplistic and to the point. The song as you know is one of our favorites from the album Pale Fire. For the full album stream click here

In this world, you think you have no reason to believe in love or in anything much. Then one day, when you least expect it, a light appears on the far horizon. It's a flickering light, begging you to come, telling you to stay away. It's the pale fire. The promise of love and hope - all consuming and elusive. Yet for a moment, it brings clarity in the darkness, future to the ruins and power to the fight." - El Perro Del Mar

Nice Day For A White Christmas Mixtape

We woke up to a white and snowy world today! How fitting since it's advent season and all. This all spells christmas music, mulled wine and gingerbread cookies today, at least for us. Our classic holiday mix still holds its own for sure. We're absolutely wild about El Perro Del Mar's Oh! What a Christmas with its nod to Phil Spector, Feist's take on the classic hymn Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming and Elvis' amazing vocals. Plus no christmas is complete without Judy Garland and Ella Fitzgerald and the rest of the gang of course. Incredibly good music! Enjoy and have a great start to the holiday season!

El Perro Del Mar - Oh! What A Christmas
She & Him - The Christmas Waltz
Elvis Presley - If Every Day Was Like Christmas
Low - Just Like Christmas

Ella Fitzgerald - O Holy Night
The Raveonettes - The Christmas Song
Hurts - All I Want For Christmas Is New Years Day
